In support of our expanding business in our Firefly Value Stream, we are looking for an engineer to oversee all Firefly manufacturing equipment to ensure equipment is functioning properly, allowing for process control implementation. This is a hands-on role and requires the ability to focus on machine parameter data acquisition, monitoring, and equipment automation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Solves equipment problems independently, cross functionally with other engineering and facilities resources, or with third parties.
Identifies, procures, implements, and qualifies new equipment and existing equipment add-on capabilities to improve process control and product yield.
Develops and manages process for equipment maintenance and parts replacement, in partnership with maintenance team.
Creates the appropriate process documentation for equipment preventative maintenance and reaction plans, in partnership with maintenance team, using industry best practices and process data.
Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment in partnership with facilities team.
Provides recommendations, justification, and qualification for purchases of new equipment.
Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement budget.
Tracks and reports yield, cycle time and other key metrics within specific work centers or value streams.
Troubleshoots, determines root-cause and addresses process issues or problems.
Creates, defines, and documents standard-work processes and trains production staff on new processes.
Develops and implements process monitoring and control.
Responsible for promoting a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth.
Identifies and reduces equipment related process variability.
Supports production team efforts in machine, efficiency, and facility improvements, as necessary.
Modeling and simulation of various processes as appropriate.
Other duties/ functions as determined by business need or assigned by the Value Stream Manager or his/her designate.
Education / Experience:
B.S. or higher in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or a closely related field or the equivalence in work experience.
Five or more years experience with manufacturing equipment, CMP, CNC and vacuum based PVD experienced preferred.
Ability to hit deadlines with minimal oversight.
Must have excellent communications skills and experience working within teams of engineers and technicians in a production environment.
Well-developed troubleshooting, problem solving, root-cause determination and analytical skills are a must.
Addit ional Requirement:
This position may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.
Pay Range: $85k - 110k/year
Bonus: This position is eligible for company discretionary bonus
