The mission of the Quality Engineer is to develop, execute, monitor and report on development and production processes and ensure quality and accuracy of hardware design and production outputs. Duties include developing company’s quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance.

Transform the verification and validation testing activities to ensure product designs meet or exceed all requirements through test plan development, execution and reporting.
Confirm departmental adherence to design and development controls processes, utilizing PLM system and validating proper documentation.
Evolve the design and test lab to enable rapid proof of concept and prototype testing as well as field testing planning and execution.
Provide the design team with input for design for manufacturability (DFM), including In-Circuit Test (ICT), Functional Card Test (FCT) and End of Line (EOL) production tests and Manufacturing Process and Control Plans.
Execute Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for product issues.
Support design team in ensuring latest safety standards are maintained in product design.
Verify quality of design documentation to meet ISO process compliance.
Support safety, quality and compliance audits.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of professional experience in quality management in hardware design and development
Experience in technical integrated hardware, embedded firmware product development
Experience ISO compliance and processes
Experience with verification and validation test development and execution
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics, PCB layout and assembly files and mechanical drawings
Ability to interpret and verify regulatory safety standards
Experience with production processes, testing and controls
Experience with CAPA and RCA
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
Experience with MATLAB and LabView
Experience with PLM systems
