The Accusonic Applications Engineer will have experience in the fundamentals of electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering which enables the individual to take a multi-disciplinary approach to the design and development, application and installation of Accusonic products. This role requires both the engagement of Accusonic/ADS Sales team as well as the Accusonic Field Service team.

The Applications Engineer has responsibility to :

1) Provide application and product expertise and support to the Accusonic/ADS sales teams and customers;

2) Provide engineering support to PSO for product and manufacturing related issues; and

3) Provide technical support for Accusonic field service team, Accusonic representatives, and Accusonic customers.


  1. Provide technical expertise to ensure Accusonic products are developed and delivered to manufacturing on-time and on-quality.

  2. Interface with PSO and other contracted resources to solve scheduling and commercial issues.

  3. Provide sales staff with technical support and cost estimates for specialized field-testing, customer specific bands, and turnkey projects.Provide sales staff with support for the preparation of proposals identifying specific equipment and review-complicated specifications on an as needed basis.Interface with customers and sales staff to ensure that the proper equipment and services are quoted for specialized applications (such as turbine efficiency testing and low-head hydro projects).Attend trade shows and perform sales visit presentations on an as needed basis.

  4. Assist and perform specialized testing based on customer requirements (such as laboratory and turbine efficiency testing).Perform various international and domestic installations and product commissioning on an as-needed basis.

  5. Provide technical support for incoming calls and messages from the field service team, sales team, and sales representatives.Provide field service support for special transducer installation configurations.Provide "over-the-phone" flowmeter operating & maintenance instructions; troubleshooting, diagnosis, and fault analysis for Accusonic customers on an as-needed basis.

  6. Product support of all transducers, sensors and transducer mounting bands.Design and configure customer specific bands and all related appurtenances for efficient transducer installation.Provide cost efficient approaches and/or installation techniques for transducer installations in the field.

  7. Review and reduction of raw field as-built installation data that is received from field personnel (both internal and external).Formally document field as-built data for flowmeter commissioning.


  1. B.S. Degree in Engineering.

  2. Proven experience managing projects from quoting stage to commissioning stage.

  3. Experience in Field Service management and support activities are a plus.

  4. Flow measurement experience preferred with exposure to water/wastewater/hydro-electric power industries.
