Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to address and resolve product-related issues reported by customers or internal teams.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, product performance, and cost efficiency.

  • Create/manage BOM and ERP functions as needed.

  • Create/Adjust 3-D models of components and assemblies along with associated production prints including GD&T dimensioning.

  • Update and modify existing designs to address reliability, functionality, or compliance concerns.

  • Initiate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

  • Work closely with quality teams to investigate and resolve issues related to product defects or performance failures.

  • Responsible for on-boarding new products into manufacturing, and assisting with creating the new assembly or machining processes as needed.

  • Maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design changes, drawing archives, testing reports, and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product support.

  • Ensure all products meet industry standards and regulations.

  • Conduct tests to validate design changes and assess long-term reliability.

  • Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

  • Manage projects and present updates to senior management.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.

  • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical based manufacturing environment required.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials required.

  • Manufacturing experience in compressors, pumps, meters or electromechanical devices preferred.

  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g., CAD software) and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).

  • Advanced level of GD&T understanding.

  • Mechanical assembly skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Advanced computer skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Travel:

  • Up to 5%. Must have ability to travel domestic and abroad when required.
