Position/Title: Software Engineer
Location: Rohnert Park, CA is our ideal location.

Bring your professional software development background and become part of a team dedicated to providing our customers with novel fluidic solutions. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to take an important role in our Electrical and Software Engineering group.
The right individual will join a team that supplies our customers with innovative fluid handling products in support of their increasingly complex instrumentation needs. You will have a chance to showcase your expertise in software engineering as well as your strengths in developing automated test systems.

Work with a cross-functional team that includes research scientists, mechanical, electronics and manufacturing engineers to develop software solutions for test system automation.
As part of a design team, participate in product development from concept to production and provide after-release support for the life of the product.
Write software in C# and .NET as well as Python.
Write and maintain software documentation such as user manuals.
Work with engineering team members to achieve the most optimal system design.
Work with engineering team members to create software product requirements documents (PRD) and then use PRD to develop detailed software design documents.
Operate under minimal supervision and coordinate tasks to balance competing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related degree or related professional experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in production code development with C# and .NET
Strong software development skills in C#, C++ and Python
Ability to write Windows software for automated test systems
Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, USB, CAN)
Ability to develop, document and execute software testing and validation plans
Experience with software version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and in a distributed team
Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) systems
Experience with SQL databases
Experience with LabView
Experience with embedded systems programming in C
Analog and digital sensor interfacing and signal processing
Good troubleshooting skills
