As a Manufacturing Engineer I at Trebor International, you'll oversee production cells or product families, managing processes and equipment for peak performance. You'll drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools, enhance efficiency, and ensure high quality. Working with teams across operations, quality, and design, you'll optimize systems with technologies like pneumatics, mechatronics, and PLCs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Take engineering ownership of assigned production cells or product families.

  • Manage and optimize processes and equipment within your assigned areas to ensure optimal performance.

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and workflows related to your assigned areas.

  • Utilize solid modeling skills to develop and update production systems using technologies such as pneumatics, mechatronics, electronics, and PLCs.

  • Participate in engineering change management processes, validating changes through testing and analysis.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the results and impact of changes.

  • Take a leadership role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, using Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in assigned areas.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers, production teams, and cross-functional departments to troubleshoot production issues.

  • Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and implement corrective actions.

  • Support the development and maintenance of production documentation to ensure accurate records of processes and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Perform maintenance on equipment in your assigned areas and take responsibility for developing and executing preventative maintenance plans.

  • Coordinate with relevant teams to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.

  • Assist in supporting new product launches, ensuring that manufacturing processes and quality standards are met during the introduction phase.

  • Work diligently to accomplish goals and targets on time while adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and improvement initiatives within your assigned areas.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, conveying technical concepts, process improvements, and project outcomes in an understandable manner.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally and move within office, manufacturing, and field environments.

  • Write by hand and keyboard.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

JOB CONDITIONS

  • Exposure to a general manufacturing environment, which may include noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

  • Ability to work in cleanroom manufacturing settings, adhering to strict cleanliness and contamination control protocols.

  • May be required to obtain certification and operate other equipment as necessary.

  • Light machining, assembly, and testing of plastics and metal components.

  • Regular work within a standard office environment, requiring the use of computers and other office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships or co-op experience preferred).

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with ERP systems.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.

  • Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach to achieving goals and targets within assigned areas.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, contributing positively to collaborative efforts.

  • Knowledge of various technologies (pneumatics, mechatronics, electronics, PLCs) and a willingness to learn and apply them in production systems.

  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment is desirable.

Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000

Relocation package is not available for this position.
